The acting Governor of Lunda Sul recognized on Friday, April 26, the relevance and impact of the mining sector on the national economic balance, which constitutes one of the important pillars in the process of economic diversification.

Leandro Kaputo, who was speaking at the leisure space in the early commemorative act of the National Day of Mineiro, which brought together more than three hundred people, attributed the successes achieved in the sector to the workers who tirelessly transform nature into wealth in a sustainable way.

The growth in the technical and professional capacity of workers at the largest Angolan diamond company, he continued, has enabled “greater production and a consequent addition to the State coffers”.

The minister considered relations with Catoca and guaranteed “moral and institutional support for the consolidation of relations in pursuit of the objectives that aim at the community”, he stressed.

In a message read by the Deputy General Manager for the Administrative Area, Paulo Mandela, the General Manager of Catoca, Benedito Manuel acknowledged the selfless effort of the collective of workers for the great mining enterprise that should make all Catoquense proud.
